De Pere school district raising money for therapy dog


DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) – The Unified College District of De Pere is elevating cash for a remedy canine.

The remedy canine program would begin at Dickinson Elementary College and will increase to different faculties.

Charlie the lab is being educated for the district and will be a part of the district this college 12 months.

Dickinson Principal Luke Herlache says the district has seen a gentle enhance within the variety of college students coping with nervousness through the years.

“It’s one thing that we had thought of pre-pandemic, however the pandemic and COVID has definitely amplified the necessity. Actually we’ve continued to see a rise within the variety of children exhibiting indicators of tension,” says Principal Herlache.

Coach Jeremy Van Beek defined the function of a remedy canine.

The fee is $5 per individual with the cash going towards the remedy canine program.
